Taking It To Condi

(click for full sizes)
Condi-Code-Pink

I was struck by two images of Condi Rice testifying before Congress for the last time concerning the State Department budget.  The Dada-esque first shot, framing members of Code Pink, seems to symbolize how Rice's tenure, the Bush foreign policy, and Condi's continued globetrotting, has become thoroughly farcical.

Condi-Sharon-Stone  Although the intended meme aims for "blood on her hands," the combination of red and pink, married to the silly-bored look on the face of the guy to the left of Condi and the woman set back to her right (and then, check out the pink tie on the guy far left) seems to only make a silly soup.

Shades of Sharon Stone, the second shot reveals Condi split in two, her mute, sullen head (fused into a handless-clock) is distinctly separated from her long, crossed, shapely and seductively lit legs.  I agree that Condi didn't have the head for the job, but the image seems to suggest the reason had something to do with her sex.

I have to wonder if this image still would have circulated if the country wasn't caught up right now in such  heightened tension over politics and gender.  I find it hitting "below the belt."

Condi taking it to George @ http://borev.net

For all things condi you really should visit princess sparklepony.

I am just glad they had the good taste to NOT show the picture that was taken as she was crossing her legs.

Friends,

How long will it take the citizens of our great Republic to realize that "Dr" Rice is an intellectual fraud who knows little, if anything, about the outside world, someone ok'd for her positions (NSA, SecState) by Republican operatives so she would pose no threat to their way of gaining control of the US for the Republican party by means of the neo-cons' war plans.

"Dr" Rice is a petite bourgeoise from a provincial city (don't get me wrong, I love Atlanta & CNN). Her "academic" qualifications are second rate. Her 1984 book on the Czechoslovak army, panned by the American Historical Review (1985), is the only tome she penned herself. As a "scholar," she is utterly mediocre. Can she speak Russian? Ask her in Russian. I bet she wouldn't know what you're talking about.

She got a job as "Dean" at Stanford for her biological/political affiliations, not intellectual/scholarly qualifications.

She is a malleable "double-minority," a role madam Rice loves to show off in her "modest" way, insulting everyone else overseas. Israelis were not flattered, for example, by her suggestion that they were comparable to Southern plantation owners. And Palestinians find her the height of hypocrisy.

Blindly ambitious thanks to the endless flattery she received from right-wing politicos eager to exploit her, knowing her total ignorance, she snuck her way up the not-yet-dead-white male Bush no. 1 WH, "moving on up" to the Bush no. 2 WH by not threatening "W" intellectually (i.e., letting Rumsfeld and Cheney have their way, which was their intention all along by having her "on board") and making him -- our dear Dubya -- feel he was "the decider" in foreign affairs, about which neither he nor she knew anything about (one ignorance reinforcing the other).

This lady is an utter and total expression of the worst American parochialism, sugar-coated with a Ph.D from a second-rate learnery (sorry, I meant "university") in Colorado (sorry, again, U of C), rendered "respectable" by her Republican handlers -- so that she would be an acceptable "minority" in an area (foreign affairs) Karl Rove & Co couldn't care a hoot about (except as a way to win votes in Congressional districts).

As we talk about the fifth anniversary of an immoral and disastrous war -- allowed by the complicity of "Dr" Rice with other sleaze-balls like herself -- and with all of the MSM (NYT, WP) praising the success of the "surge" and how the idea to invade Iraq was great but the "implementation" was wrong, what is really needed is a war tribunal -- with the regime, "Dr" Rice among them, off to The Hague.

Doubtless, however, "Dr" Rice will "end up" as President of Stanford, telling us something about the priorities of our Beloved Country and what we really think about the young.

Makes you want to puke.

Great post, iloveamerica. I almost feel silly about pointing out the guy on the far right of the pic looking over his shoulder at the pink shirts and red hands. He seems to be surprised. I wonder if he said anything to anyone?

I think this group should follow Rice around everywhere like her own personal Greek chorus, crying "woe! woe!" at everything she says.
